Super nice grounds- lovingly landscaped, well maintained- rooms are clean and comfortable. Jaclyn, Patrizio, Franky, and the rest of the team (including Rio, woof!) go out of their way to make you feel at home- from warm welcome to sweet goodbye. Had a terrific massage there too by Sonia.

The place was far enough out of town to allow an appreciation of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful grounds. The breakfast was large and excellent and the staff was accommodating in every respect. Hot water in the shower.

We would recommend that the staff make an effort to clean and regularly fill the hummingbird feeders. This would easily attract more hummingbirds to the property. Also, there are several wooden platforms around the property that could be used as fruit feeders to attract even more birds. The property and location would be an ideal stopover for birders. We would also recommend considering the planting of more plants that are known for attracting birds and hummingbirds.

I highly recommend you find a way to allow clients to turn off the television night light. It is unhealthful to sleep in lighted rooms. Why wouldn't you make this an option?? I had to wear my spouses blindfold.

A true oasis within Vilcabamba. Quiet with beautiful grounds, it is only a few steps to the Garden of the Mother public park. You can walk 10 minutes to town via a cobblestone street to the main square or walk along the main road to shops and the farmers marketplace at the top of the hill. Fruit trees, butterflies, flowers of every color and lush green, border the walkways to the rooms and are simply fun to walk past every day! The pyramid is a very grounding centerpiece that inspires creativity and introspection. The Ecuadorian food in the restaurant is made with love and table service is exceptional. The staff treats you like family and communicates well with English speakers. Take advantage of their hot chocolate, it's world class served with warm sugarcane syrup!
