"Run as fast as you can"

2.0

Two years ago, we stayed in the townhouses across the street. We were quite pleased with the updated, clean two bedroom unit we rented and the buffet breakfast in the church was an added bonus. This year, we booked late and Unit F, in the church, was the only remaining rental. This is probably the worst place I have stayed in the last 30 years. Pro: is is close to downtown Cons: don't expect to sleep, the master bedroom mattress and sofa bed mattress feel like they are about 20 years old, The pillows are flat as pancakes. The master bedroom heat cannot be controlled and we were extremely hot each night. We asked for new pillows twice, when they eventually arrived, it seemed as if they had just been bought and I am assuming, based on their comfort level, that they were about 5 dollars each. Not only is the unit dated, but it is also dirty. The rug in the bathroom is stained, there are moldy cracks in the shower and the electric heater in the bedroom is fully off the wall, exposing a huge amount of dust. We also had to retrieve toilet paper from the hot tub room as we were only supplied with two rolls, eventually, after two calls, we were provided with two additional rolls for three more days with three adults! Also, about half the light fixtures had dead bulbs. Finally, do NOT put your ski equipment in the storage locker. We lost an hour and a half of skiing because the lock jammed, we tried for quite a while to take care of it ourselves and it was forty minutes from our initial call to management before maintenance arrived to remove the door. (he was extremely polite and worked quickly) This unit is not worth the decent price. While we may have managed with the outdated furniture and kitchen supplies, the fact that sleep was so impacted for a ski vacation makes this just not worth it.

"Someone call an exorcist."

2.0

Pro- Location to town lift and Main Street. Cons- Everything else. They run the place like an Airbnb, key pads on the front entrance and room doors, locked up with no one site. This would be fine if you didn’t still have a website which can be used to book directly but doesn’t send confirmation emails mirroring those you’d received through Airbnb. None of my numerous phone calls were returned in the weeks leading up to our stay and it took us 30 minutes to find a guest from the sister property across the street to ask for a working phone number. The main number listed for this place may as well be disconnected, no one ever answers. The hot tub isn’t hot, parking is scarce, & the internet is sub 3mbps and spotty at best. The hot tub room doors are left open leaving the smell of warm chlorine to waft throughout the entirety of the building. The pictures of the rooms online make the suites look 10 times larger than they really are. There is a bar with live music next door and a larger concert venue two doors down - don’t count on sleeping much here. The suit that we stayed in is newly renovated yet water leakage stains run down the walls and panels are missing from kitchen bar top. The windows in the rooms upstairs are leaky which means freezing nights in the winter. I had highs hopes for this place when booking but reality is a farcry from what they present online. Go elsewhere until management is swapped out.

"Reasonably Priced"

6.0

Our two bedroom unit was clean except for the discolored filthy sponge provided. To say the unit is dated is an understatement. However, everything was in working order except for the WiFi. If you go into a he hallway it works fine. Many evenings there is a PJ gathering for WiFi use. The hotel event planner is very creative. If you are over five feet tall bring a booster seat for the toilet. There is plenty of hot water and the shower works great. This location, as many have mentioned, is ideal for accessing Main Street, which is a “bear” for parking. There is a nice fire 🔥 place but no instructions for operating...a good cost control. Have fun!

"Ok but not what it seems..."

6.0

PROS - Keys pick up- efflcient for late night arrival. Charming lodge. Warm and cozy. Vert spacious, well equipped, clean rooms, TV, okay WiFi. Indoor Hot tub, game room a bonus plenty of clean towels available. Excellent location 400yd to ski lift. All restaurants shops outside your door! Free shuttle to resort and fresh market. CONS Entered the Unit to a bad smell that stayed all week. There was NO breakfast. As stated on VRBO and Unit D handbook breakfast was served DAILY in the winter months at 7:30-10am in the lobby. Blue Church management was not contactable so called ‘sister’ hotel whose office claimed breakfast has never been offered at this Lodge.Half way through our stay we found minor water leak coming from upstairs unit. Drip leaked through spotlight frame onto the breakfast bar area. Shower hardware was old and complicated to operate. One of the handles came off.Be careful water was causing burns to young kids. Kitchen plumbing was unpredictable. Water mainly came through rinse hose, sprayed forward onto the person using it. Would rarely come through faucet. Master bedroom comforter looked very tired like 20 years old! There was no vacuum provided in the unit. I would have used it every other day. Also NO cleaning service as we were led to believe. (Not that we minded too much) again, it was in the booking info and the handbook. Did not try the fireplace -would have been perfect for our Christmas stay!! No instructions for use. There was a strange operating device just inside the hearth. Also, ash underneath the grate from previous guestuse. At 10pm each night loud music could be heard from the nightclub next door. It did keep us awake a few nights! At NO time during our stay did we see or hear from any of the management. We did not receive ONE courtesy call either at the beginning of our visit EVEN after our complaint about the bad odor and lack of morning breakfast. I tried to call about the drip leak only to get through to an answer machine. So I didn’t call again. ** The day we returned from our stay and BEFORE posting this review. I shared of ALL these comments in an email to the management . We received NO response. Sadly, this pattern shows a lack of consideration and concern for guest matters and will surely leave an impact on the Lodges future reputation. It was our families’ first time in Park City we loved every bit, but so disappointed with the guest services at the Blue Church Lodge. Overall, we would say it is an ideal place to stay if few details mentioned above are addressed by the management.

"Blue Church"

8.0

The Blue Church was the first Morman Church built in Park City. It is 1/2 block off of Main Street but has a walkway that goes directly to Main Street at about the middle of the restaurant, bar, shopping area. This is a great location and it has its own parking area. We stayed in the original church and not the townhomes across the street. The church is unique, but well arranged and interesting. The rooms all are condo type, so they have kitchens, dens, bedrooms and baths. Check-in is easy.

"Not as nice as it’s led to believe !"

4.0

I rented unit A, in 2016. Unit was a bit out dated. The big problem was some maintenance issues that it was lacking. Windows are not the best and the night club next door keeps you up till 2:00 AM. Now unit A did provide a white noise machine in each bedroom and with ear plugs, it was bearable, however, This year I decided to rent a nicer unit B and this one was just as bad and without the white noise machine. The bathroom exhaust fans in all bathrooms made so much noise that you had to turn them off and not use. Beds are very uncomfortable with either cheap or old mattresses. Kitchen is not stocked. . . Couple of dull knives, and not enough water glasses. When we requested for a pan for cooking omelette, Louise said that that was a special item and it will not be provided ! WTF? The last thing was that after we checked out and on our way back home, I had a message from Louise that the table in living room had a crack and we were responsible for it. That really made me mad . . . We were a group of 50 something adults that since the kitchen was not up to par, we were out most of the day and just came to the unit to sleep - or lack of it due to the thumping of base from the night club. So, I called her back to mention that we did not cause any damage to any thing in this unit. I asked her for the owner’s name since I think they should know how the place is being managed or run. It is a shame, because the building has a lot of charm and a very convenient location.

"Good but had a couple of issues"

8.0

I recently stayed at the Blue Church Lodge with three of my sisters-in-law for a ladies ski trip. Overall we were pleased with our stay but there were a couple of issues which can and should be addressed. Here's the good: We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit in the lodge. The location is great - a short block off Main Street. I don't like the Town Lift (way too slow and doesn't get me on the mountain where I like to be) so we walked the few short blocks to transit station and took the bus to the mountain. We rented skis at the mountain and were able to store them there so didn't have to lug them back to the lodge each day. It's doable in ski boots - some chose to wear ski boots, others carried and changed at mountain. Our unit is a bit dated and it could use updated carpet (currently dark green) and maybe new couches. The beds were comfortable, the unit was clean, and the kitchen decently equipped so if you want to cook a meal, you certainly can. The hot tub is nice and a few of us enjoyed using it each day. The continental breakfast was extremely convenient and it was just right for us. Note: Half and half for the coffee would be a nice addition. Issues: Our lease as well as the general information sent to us stated we would have daily housekeeping. During the three full days we were there, we received these services once. We needed some fresh towels and called the office as directed by the Guest "handbook" in our unit. No one answered and no one responded to the message we left. Wifi was a bit intermittent. Not a big deal unless you were depending on it for work. Heat - When we arrived we noticed there were space heaters in the unit. Since it was quite cold we thought perhaps it was to take the edge off. We turned them off shortly after going to bed. Very early in the morning we were all freezing. We met another couple who also said they were very cold in their unit. When we returned from skiing that day we heard a knock at the door and a repairman said he was there to fix our heat - the rest of the building had heat restored but not our unit (it was really cold). He fixed the thermostat. It worked out in the end, but someone knew the heat was out when we checked in - those space heaters looked brand new - and no one said anything to us - ever! Kind of odd....

"Great location in the heart of Park City"

10.0

Charming lobby with an awesome hot tub downstairs to soak after a long day on the slopes. The manager greeted us outside and made us feel welcome immediately. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast, chose to cook our own in the condo, but the spread looked lovely. Such a warm and cozy property. Can't wait to go back!

"Awesome location! "

10.0

Great affordable place to stay in the heart of old town Park City! Staff very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to thank and commend the owners who accommodated our unforeseen last min cancellation and let us move trip to another date for no charge or penalty. This location is perfect if you want to walk all over Main Street and be in the heart of the action. But quiet as it sits 1/2 block above We had full kitchen and fireplace. A great place to stay.

"Amazing Summer Getaway!!"

10.0

It is hard to even describe in words how amazing my stay was at this property! Louise was beyond helpful throughout the entire booking process and was so kind. She was understanding and patient answering ALL of our different questions. I stayed for 3 nights / 4 days with 5 other guests as we were all attending our friends wedding on Saturday 8/12. The unit we stayed in could not have worked out more perfectly for this group! It was our first time every traveling to Park City and the location is PERFECT. The lodge is right off main street so that you are far enough from the noise but close enough to all the restaurants and shops. When we arrived (which was well after 1am as our flight was so delayed) two of my friends had already arrived and let us into the church. First impression of the lobby is - cozy!!! It looks like a lounge i want to huddle in during the winter months. Very warm and welcoming. When we walked into the unit I was shocked by how spacious the living room and kitchen were. The rooms were all extremely spacious as well - plenty of space for 2 guests per room. In addition to that each bedroom had its own on-suite bathroom which made for the perfect setting while getting ready for the rehearsal dinner and wedding. Finally - Louise took it upon herself to say hello the following morning which was incredible and such a nice touch. This place was everything we needed and more and I would 100% stay again and will be recommending it to anyone I cross paths with!
