The Lofts at Downtown Salem

Stayed here overnight after a hike. Directions for check-in were very easy. Room was clean and spacious, and convenient to the central business district of Salem. Loved how they kept much of the original building intact yet added all the modern touches. FYI, didn’t see an elevator in case you need on, but the stairs are wide and not too many flights to handle (more for those who can’t do stairs at all). We’ll stay there again!

It was beautiful, comfortable, spacious and clean.

The property was a wonderful find. Gorgeous loft apartments and so comfortable. Very spacious too.

We found it a little hard to find, but that’s probably us!

Location and convienience

Cooking and eating utensils(plates, glasses, silverware, fry pans) are minimal in number and require daily cleaning if you were eating in the room each day.

Architecture

The restaurant is closed and the nearby restaurants aren't very good and folks are NOT friendly. Blink too fast and you'll miss Salem altogether. I stayed here only because I was having repairs done on my vehicle, otherwise I would NOT have stayed here for any reason.

Good visit

We stay here all the time as my son attends Roanoke College and we love it! The team is amazing, the rooms are amazing and we highly recommend! The beds are comfortable, there is a washer and dryer in every room as well. You can walk to restaurants, the college and coffee!
