Porthole Log Cabin

Great location!

We had a fabulous time at the Porthole log cabin. The views are fantastic and the location is perfect for easy access to the beach, the town and a variety of walks. The cabin has lots of little design touches that make it a cut above the rest and Jeremy is a first class host.

Nothing.

View of sea and coastline from terrace and seating area were superb. Also the quality and design of the purpose built accommodation was admirably quirky and highly impressive. Bathroom was the pick of the rooms. Underfloor heating was perfect.

Beds and sofa were too soft to be fully comfortable and the purpose of the mezzanine area was unclear - needed to stoop to walk around and no clear view out the skylight unless open and putting your head out? Instructions on heating controls would have been useful.

Location was perfect, so close to both town centre and the sea.. could listen to the waves and smell the sea from the sofa

Nothing.. it was perfect.. had everything you could need.

Absolut traumhafte Holzhütte mit grandiosem Ausblick auf das Meer. Man kann wunderbar die Gezeiten beobachten. In der Hütte gibt es alles, was man braucht und man kann sich hier einfach nur wohlfühlen. Es hat so viel Charme und Wärme.

Everything. The quietness, the wild life. Perfect for a quiet getaway.

Nothing at all.

Loved its quirkiness. The view was fantastic. The outside space was good too.

The shower flooded one morning we cleared it all up using the towels provided for our us, my partner then cleaned out the filter which hadn’t been cleaned properly for a while! I rang the number given and left a message about what happened but no-one got back to us. We saw the owner the next day and told him what had happened and he asked if we wanted more towels but we were ok because luckily we’d taken our own!
