IEGBThe location is prime, very central and the cable car is literally next door which allows you to get to Mazzarò (shore) very quickly. The property is quite close to the town center, restaurants and main attractions. The view is very picturesque, specially for sunrise pictures.
The owner wasn’t proactive in providing any information about the area. He didn’t show any interest in interacting with us. We were given only one suggestion about a restaurant which belongs to a friend of his. He rushed into checking us in and requested copies of passports be sent via WhatsApp. We had to message him the next day asking for his email address as we don’t typically send sensitive information via apps. As for the checkout, we had to inquire about what to do. Communication with him was very brief and replies would take a few hours. As we settled in, we started noticing issues in the room. Firstly, It took us a while to close a curtain which is very old and seems stuck. We did have to close it for privacy reasons as we were on the same floor as the communal terrace. The shower tray seems to be clogged as it fills up quickly and it takes a few minutes minutes to drain. This was flagged in a previous review about two years ago. Secondly, there is a bad sewage smell in the bathroom and this was also mentioned in previous reviews. Not enough essentials were provided for the only three nights we stayed there. The wi-fi connection is terrible and I couldn’t use my laptop. I had to tether from my phone hotspot. If you need to work remotely, that’s not ideal.
ATThe view and the terasse was amazing and the location is super! Next to the center and the cable car to the city!
-1 for the parking situation downstairs anywhere in the garage. There are just two parking slots at the top, so we parked in the garage where it was hard to come in! but at least we got one!
PLGBThe location is perfect, right next door to the cable car down to Isola Bella and 5 minutes from wonderful bars and restaurants. The terrace is absolute heaven with an outstanding view. A cute suite with just enough equipment.
