The Mumbles Carlton Hotel

The room was very modern. It was clean and fresh and decorated to a high standard. In a great location on the seafront, close to all the main bars and restaurants, but it was very peaceful in and around the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was large with good pressure. The staff were very helpful, with local recommendations.

Nothing stood out - all was great - but just be aware that they do not have a restaurant, so no breakfast or evening meal. However, you are surrounded by great eateries, and the staff are happy to help with recommendations. They do have a bar and lounge, though.

Overall completely fine. The room was not as nice as in the photos on here. Very basic but served its purpose.

Try not to check in (as I did) at busy bar times, as there is only one staff member to juggle check-in and staffing the bar. The room needs modernising.

Room way to small, says pet friendly but the stairs are to steep for dogs. No parking, we were told it was ok to park on the street in disabled bay!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 6 which was fab, a few stairs to get there but worth it.

Parking was very tricky and costly. We tended to get taxis’s to wherever we wanted to go and pay for 24hr parking as we didn’t know if we’d be able to get a space on our return.we had sea view rooms but trees got in the way of our view.

Towels where not changed same towels for all of our three days we have never had that before

Complete health and saftey hazard with the room window being able to open fully from the 1st floor with no saftey barrier. Highly overpriced

Bit tired, no info on how to use the jacuzzi bath - couldn’t get it to work, paper bath mat. Needs updating in the rooms and bathroom.
