The Mumbles Carlton Hotel

Cleanliness and ensuite was good.

It was a little dated so bedroom could be modernised and colour co-ordinated. There was a bar but it was closed.

The location, was great, we had a sea facing room, very near the beach and restaurants. The landlord was friendly and helpful on our arrival. the room was clean, bright and comfortable. Tea and Coffee were available in the room, and a hairdryer was supplied.

I had put in the filter that we needed parking and breakfast, so when this hotel came up I assumed it had those things. It didn't have either. My fault for not reading the small print better. parking was very tricky, though the Landlord gave us his space the first night to help us out. We thought it was expensive as it didn't include breakfast. Shampoo sachet was available the first day, but not the 2nd. I was glad I had brought my own. We didn't have the Wifi advertised in our room, only found it the next morning on the lobby wall. Having it in the room would have been helpful.

We needed a few hooks in the bathroom, and surfaces. Had to put things on the floor. An anti slip mat in the bath too.

Bar was not open.

The location of the Carlton cannot be faulted, right on the promenade and our room had a sea view. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Our room had quiet a deep bay window but no blinds, netting or anything to obscure you from the general public and some very busy parking bays. When pulling the curtains they went straight across, rather than round the bay window, impacting on available space and making the room appear much smaller. Although not the hotels fault parking, or long term parking isn't readily available.
