UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge

We had breakfast and dinner there and they were delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The cushions on the couch were too soft because the couch/sleeper is old and uncomfortable. It needs to be replaced in my opinion.

Excellent location and service. Our entire group enjoyed their stay. The F&B service was ideal for the needs of our group. The scenery provided a relaxing environment for the team to enjoy Camp Pacifica. Thank you to the entire team for making us all feel welcome.

I grew up in lake arrowhead. Worked on staff for ucla. We have been coming here since 2021 and this winter 2025 was a horrible experience. Our first visit in February was a wonderful day. We were housed next to a chalet that was under construction at 8 AM the saws began and the workers began to blast the radio. I brought it to the front desk attention, and they took off the resort fees, which I was grateful for! The front desk staff has always been so accommodating and the dining as well. But the general manager and manager are out of line. Our second day in March, we brought up our family to enjoy the snow. We have 2 children ages 7&8 and a newborn (10 weeks). Our daughter passed away last year at birth and we decided to come up here as we approach her anniversary of passing and as I’ve had postpartum anxiety. During our first nights stay we had a few feet of snow. Out wall heater began making noise throughout the entire night around 2am. The igniter was clicking all night. And with a newborn in the pack and play, we obviously cannot sleep with the fireplace on throughout the night. I informed the front desk in the morning at 8 AM and I showed them a video with the sound on. Later on I saw the general manager in the hall and she said she comped one of our meals. I said thank you and went on my way because we were exhausted and just wanted to go home being up all night with a newborn worried if it was a safe environment as newborns need a 68-72 degree room for survival. The temperature that evening was below 20° outside. I went home in the next day. I spoke to the front desk that advise me to speak to the manager. I told her my concern and the manager told me because I have a newborn. I was probably up anyways, and the heater isn’t a big deal. I advised her that my New weren’t actually sleep six hours straight. She asked me why I didn’t call the front desk in the middle of night and I told her because I didn’t wanna wake up the baby and other children. It was out of line point blank. We had a $173 reservation. She told me she has no power to reimburse it, which is not true because the front desk staff dropped our resort fees in a previous day because of the construction on site. In return, I asked for their insurance information because that is the right thing to do. Just as if I had an accident on site or physical injury I would ask for their insurance information. The manager told me that they do not have any insurance that they can share, which is absolutely untrue. The general manager, then left me a voicemail and called me back a few days later I told her the situation and how the manager had treated me saying that my newborn was up all night so the heater isn’t a big deal and I should disregard it. The general manager then went on and told me that my family and I are no longer welcome back at the property and that she will cancel all future reservations, including our reservation for Easter day, which we plan to celebrate with Our newborn for his first Easter celebration. She went on and said that she “knows “that the property is not a right fit for our family. I informed her that it was inhabitable housing and that’s a fact. She then began to gaslight me and told me that my family and I were eating at the buffet and did not pay for what we owe for. Which was untrue. I informed the staff that night that we would be eating in the tavern and myself would be the only one enjoying the buffet, i asked if i can bring my buffet plate to the tavern while the rest of my family shares know food from the tavern. The staff agree . She told me I will receive an email with all future reservations through end of summer cancelled. She should have just refunded the $173 and moved on.

Shout out to Rona the General Manager and her Great Team. Rona was always helping and making sure we were all comfortable. Our Group sold out the Hotel for a Company Retreat, and wow, what a Great Time we all had. No glass or cup went empty during our mealtimes, NO Frowns from the team, only Smiles and wiliness to make sure everything was perfect. Rona even made sure we had Perfect weather for our outside activities. During Smores hour, we even had some local guests come check us out. The Racoons. Overall outstanding accommodations and stay.

Food is excellent and amenities are great! I love the trails and paths around the area, and the lodge itself is nice to be at. Lodge spacing is nice and temperture levels in the rooms are not too cold. Food was buffet style and had varying options throughout the day

Overall a great stay
