Vine Ridge Resort - Cottages

Great location in Niagara. Pools were open and clean. Not too busy. Cottage was clean and a nice size

Our first cottage was terrible. Small, dark, smelled old. Couldn’t open blinds or windows. Very dated. Staff were so accommodating and offered us a new cottage. Night and day difference. So much better. We brought our own bed linens and towels but didn’t know we needed tp, paper towels dish cloths etc. as well. Kind of like camping. Glow in the dark dance night- the kids Loved it! So fun.

Great property. Unfortunately one of the two pools were out of service and our toilet plugged after hours and the after hours number was disconnected. I told the lady at the front desk and it was apparent she had not listened to the messages I left and wasn’t the least but concerned that we had no facility for 12 hours.

Visiting Niagra with family. Stay was driving distance from Niagra on the lake. There were no towels, on asking were told that they do not carry towel or personal hygiene stuff like shower soap pr shampoo. Lucky that had toilet paper. Check in office closes at 9:00 so if you arrive at that time , you will sleep on street. No blankets. Air conditioner stopped working at 10:30. There is no help at that time. After 3 hrs of staying in heated trailer home figured out that electric breaker was tripped afterwards air conditioning was fine. I will think three times before booking this place again.

Fortunately we were able to get out of our reservation through Expedia when we pointed out the misadvertising. My distress upon entering this trailer “junior cabin” cannot be properly expressed. It was done in cheap 1960s decor, was extremely cramped, was a completely different unit than photos displayed on Expedia listing, and there were zero bed linens or towels. It had a terrible smell that can best be described as old kitchen grease. The “water park” was a rundown greenish shallow pull and sort of splash pad. We got the hell out and fortunately were able to grab a beautiful, cozy nearby Airbnb last minute at the same price.

Property was misadvertised. 1960’s. No bed linens or towels. Very very tiny. It is a trailer.

The resort is overall quite nice. There are lots of amenities - pool, fire pits, sports fields. However nothing in the photos nor description match what you get. This is essentially a mobile home park - which is totally fine - just not at all what the pictures and descriptions show. There is no bedding - which is stated, but all pics show bedding. There are also no towels for showering nor for kitchen use. You’re effectively camping in a trailer - again not a problem, just not at all what’s described and I would not pay this much money to stay in a camper.

They had a basketball court.

Property is amazing. Unfortunately the pool wasn't in good condition but everything else was fantastic. Front desk staff very kind, always with a smile and ready to help.

It was a great accommodation and the layout was good. Perfect for family.
