Location was great, view was amazing and bed was really comfortable. It rained on the second day we were there so we could open up the doors and feel one with nature while listening to the rain. LOVE IT, awesome for a short stay.

Check-in was a little confusing, didn’t realise that there were two locations for Grün in canggu. The insect killer lamp provided did absolutely nothing and the soundproofing is non-existent. You can hear the dogs barking, scooters on the small road beside and the neighbours in the next villa. Slight discomfort but overall these are still bearable!

Stunning structure immersed in nature. We stayed in the tree house, apart from the ladder to get to bed (which we knew was there) it was a bit uncomfortable to reach the bathroom once in bed but Everything was perfect. They provide comfortable slippers and mosquito spray (there are many). The pool is not very big but always clean. Staff very kind and present. They wrote to us every morning on WhatsApp. Be prepared to wake up early, the singing of birds and animals around will wake you up at dawn, including the light that will penetrate. All this is fantastic, you will really feel immersed in nature

amazing stay in the middle of a hustle bustle city, keeps the noise away and gives us amazing facilities. the concept of a tree house is very well done.

Wouldn’t recommend to solo female travellers at all. I had an awful experience with a very pushy and intimidating taxi driver where he drove me an extra 30 seconds down the road from the destination on the grab app. I had already paid for the taxi on the app but I didn’t realise he was going to charge an additional amount as it was such a short distance after the destination point to my villa. It also then counted as an offline journey as the grab journey had already completed on the app. He kept asking if he could come in to my villa for a drink (I’m a 24 year old solo female traveller) and then he kept saying he was going to take me back to his. I kept saying no and then when we got to the villa he demanded an extra 600,000 IDR which is ridiculous for an extra 30 seconds. When I said I didn’t have the cash to pay him he said I would have to go back with him which made me fearful for my safety. The hotel staff witnessed this interaction and did nothing to help me. I had to lock myself in my villa as I was genuinely scared he was going to try and force his way in. The next day the hotel staff said I had to pay them the 600,000 IDR. Bear in mind the entire journey on the grab app only came to 60,00 IDR and that was a 25 minute drive. I showed them my grab app to prove I had already paid for the journey, he just dropped me a tiny bit further down the road as the postcode didn’t quite get me all the way to the villa. They were not helpful at all and said it wasn’t their problem and I would have to fix it. They then wouldn’t let me collect my bags until I had paid for the taxi and couldn’t tell me where the nearest ATM is. As a young solo female travelling around, my safety is one of the most important things when booking accommodation. The villa itself was lovely but unfortunately this was such a let down and ruined the whole experience for me.

It is not in the center of Canggu but still very accessable by Grab etc.
