Grün Canggu Garden

The location is undoubtedly the highlight of this property. Nestled among lush green rice fields, the view was nice this year, I was lucky enough to enjoy it fully since, last year, the fields had been harvested during my stay, leaving only bare soil. The security is also reassuring; the property is in a remote area, but we saw security staff actively checking scooters and patrolling at night with torches, which made us feel safe.

I recently stayed at this property for the second time, and while there were some things I enjoyed, there were a few aspects that could have been improved. One of the more disappointing parts of my stay was the lack of recognition for being a returning guest but there wasn’t even a small gesture of appreciation. It would’ve been nice if they acknowledged my return in some way ex. a welcome note or implementation of hospitality, that I would expect from a property in this price range. Additionally, I was excited to book after seeing an anniversary discount eagerly advertised on Instagram. I contacted the property ahead of time, and they confirmed I could apply the discount. However, when I made the booking through Booking.com, they later rejected the discount, citing the platform as the issue. This was frustrating, as the discount had been a key factor in my decision to rebook. The property’s remote location can be tricky for getting around. Drivers and deliveries have a hard time finding it, and the area is not on the Gojek map, which made transport logistics more difficult. There’s also no reception desk; communication happens through WhatsApp, which feels impersonal and only focuses on scheduling the cleaning. When we checked out, there was no goodbye or acknowledgment, which left a sour note. The treehouse offers a unique experience, however, be warned, it’s not exactly soundproof. You can hear street noise quite clearly, with scooters passing, local kids screaming and barking stray dogs in the late and early hours of the morning such as 3 AM. which made sleeping challenging at times. Additionally, rain on the roof is extremely loud, which can be both soothing and disruptive, depending on your perspective. If you can get past the noise and transport challenges, it’s a lovely place to stay for a peaceful escape, but just don’t expect much in terms of personal service or acknowledgment from the staff because it doesn’t exist.

Wonderful accommodation! The treehouses are fantastic, and the staff is incredibly attentive and kind. We had a great stay. While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, they partner with a nearby one, and they even deliver meals right to your accommodation!

Some would say it’s quite far out, I found the location perfect. It’s so easy to catch Grab/Gojek scooters from anywhere and took less than ten minutes to get into central Canggu

they need more things in the room, there is nowhere to leave things. they also only have 3 sunbeds by the pool

Great value and large rooms designed with Balinese influence. A beautiful pool over looking lush rice fields

Location is a little out of the way but you are a 10 min grab bike away from canguu.

The property was a great experience. The views were amazing The staff were nice

- noise from the room beside us, we could hear everything I mean EVERYTHING. - my husband felt abit ill at night as the property was far there was no pharmacy close by and the tree house did not have any simple first aid medication. ( which I think should be kept close by just incase such as panadol) however the guard was sweet to go to the pharmacy and get us some. - the shower area smell, since it’s a tree house when showering you can find a smell but I am guessing it is from under the floor when water is opened. - also tree house B is toooo exposed. I mean no privacy, as it is opened all the way up and down. so if you prefer some privacy better book the other rooms

It was very clean and the stiff was very helpful, the pool is really beautiful. I needed a space to work and they let me work at the free space that used to be a kitchen before.
