Holiday Inn Express & Suites George - Quincy South by IHG

Hotel had changed ownership after I booked and my reservation had been cancelled. Booking.com had not notified me, and in fact just changed the existing booking to have the hotel’s new name. Fortunately he hotel was not fully booked and the receptionist agreed to honour the original booking price even though it had increased with the new ownership. Also upgraded me to a suite to compensate for the inconvenience. Very limited options in the locale for evening food, and what there was shut early. Not the hotel’s fault, but it made dining awkward. Breakfast was pretty poor, but similar to many other places we stayed at on our road trip that were equally poor or worse.

Check-in was easy and pleasant

Despite problems with Expedia the front desk clerk Jordan went above and beyond to help us. Great property for those needing a great night while driving to or from their destination.

The hotel was comfortable, safe, and clean. I had a horrible experience with the guests next door to me. Staff handled it ok… breakfast was not very good. Expired syrup and milk being served with same day expectation date. Food was not refreshed from the day before. Full

Leider hatte es am Morgen einen Wasserschaden und wir konnten nicht duschen. Ebenfalls funktionierte der Lift nicht. Über den Wasserschaden wurden wir erst auf Nachfrage informiert. Ein Preisnachlass dafür wurde uns auch erst auf Nachfrage angeboten.

Jordan at the front desk went above and beyond for us after a day of driving. Despite having a pre-paid reservation with Expedia the reservation did not exist in the Holiday Inn system. I showed him our pre-booked reservation and he immediately went into action helping us in talking to Expedia to confirm the oversight. Cannot say enough about how great the place was and especially how great the staff are.
