Nordic Inn Thorshavn

The room size was adequate. It was about a 15 min walk to town. Fridge and kettle were handy. There is a place to hang clothing and a chair/desk. Groceries, shopping mall and petrol are close. If you are going to the Nordic Center or the football stadium, those are close.

The main photo is NOT the property, which is unnecessarily misleading. The internet in the downstairs was weak and dropped frequently. The room had no ventilation and had a musty smell. The walls are thin and was adjacent the toilet & shower, so I could hear every person in there and above me. bring earplugs. It was overpriced for what it was.

The friendly host that even though we arrived pretty late took the time to show us around in the house. The kitchen is very well equipt and it has private parking spaces. On the day that we left the weather was really bad, heavy winds and very rainy. It was no problem to check out later as there was no rush.

The location and view are great. The room is very spacious. Staff are very nice.

When someone walks upstairs, I can hear the noise very clearly

We did self catering, there were plenty of supermarkets close by and accessable. the location was brilliant, making is just an hour at the longest from wherever we wanted to be. If you hire a car then the petrol stations are close by too. If you need to know anything the hosts where more than happy to help.

No I was happy with everything

Very friendly and helpful owners, it was nice chatting with them. They use the same kitchen so the kitchen was equipped very, very well. It was also great that I could use the dishwasher together with them. Check-in and check-out was very easy.

I loved being able to use the kitchen and that the owners also are fine with visitors using washing machine/drier/fridge. The TV also offers a wide range of possibilities. It really felt homely, not like a tourist, but one of their family. But despite that, I had much privacy and tranquility. The property really embodies the Nordic hygge.

The house is close to a main road, so it could be slightly noisy at rush times. No problems to fall asleep though.
