Lava Hotel

Great location

Had issues accessing the wifi so ended up using my hotspot the whole time. It was also quite noisy outside my door.

Location great for taxis, buses, town.

Not really beach that close - its a quay. Taxi pick up didnt bring Lava Hotel sign which i was expecting so hung around and called the Hotel to find they were already there but with the name of the taxi firm which wasnt told to me so a little room for improvement.

Everything! The fact it was perfect for my Elderly Father, accessible to the restaurant & Carpark. Just very well thought out. Not to mention the Service & Great hospitality the staff showed us.

There was nothing to not like - the only minor issue we had was the interconnecting doors weren’t open as lock was somewhat jammed. However it was not a biggie, the friendly staff made up for it.

Dårlig informasjon om fasiliteter og begivenheter på hotellet og i nærområdet. For eksempel var det tilfeldig at jeg opplevde at det var folkedans og buffe middag den kvelden jeg ankom. Her var det også en kuvert pris som samsvarte dårlig med særlig mattilbudet.

Lava Hotel was very accommodating with our early check-in at 3:00am, offering it for a fee of $150 per room rather than charging a full day rate, which we genuinely appreciated after a long journey. The rooms were very clean, with comfortable beds and superb air conditioning that worked exceptionally well in the Samoan heat. The bar fridge was impressively strong, keeping our drinks cold throughout the day. The conjoining room setup was a great bonus, allowing the kids to have their own separate room while still remaining connected and close by. Parking felt secure and well managed, with overnight security present and a barrier separating the hotel from the general public during the night, providing excellent peace of mind. The hotel layout is open, modern, and welcoming, and its prime location in the heart of Apia makes it extremely convenient. The dining options were nice, in our experience, better than those offered at some other 5-star hotels, which was a real surprise. The dining entertainment was exceptional! The young gentleman that played the guitar had an exceptional voice and his array of song selections made the dining experience even more enjoyable! Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay, and we would happily return and recommend Lava Hotel to others.

The only minor downside was water leaking from the shower, which could likely be resolved with an additional application of sealant. In addition, we unfortunately did not stay on the nights Lava Hotel offer their Fiafia night, however, it will be something to consider next time we stay.
