City Stadium Apartment on the riverfront

The apartment is very comfortable and well-located for all our activities. The internet was not working when we arrived but the owner, Steve, devoted several hours to fixing the problem. The apartment is close (walking distance) to the bus hub and to the restaurant hubs, City Lane and Palmer Street. I also liked that the beds were not made up with doonas (duvets), which is so often the case in accommodation even when in the tropics, such as Townsville. Instead a blanket and a light coverlet were provided.

The apartment is just across the river from a major road and next to the bridge that gives access to this road, so it was quite noisy in one bedroom. There were stern signs inside the apartment about putting rubbish into the bin at the bottom of the stairs but there was not a bin for recyclables, which was disappointing.

Location. Cleanliness. Facilities. Comfort of the beds. All great. Decent size of the Lounges. Decent cutlery and crockery. Laundry facilities in fine working order. Rooms large and comfortable. Swimming pool fantastic with the best shade sail in the history of humanity.

It was very comfortable and a beautiful 2 bed apartment. The beds were very comfortable.

No lifts. It makes it hard with the high temperatures and high humidity.
