The Rock House - Main House

Absolutely gorgeously decorated, fantastic location, plenty of seating everywhere, and kitchen was very well appointed. We loved staying here, especially enjoying some baked goods and coffee in the courtyard.

Some of the beds might need a new mattress from age, and twin beds could use a larger blanket. Otherwise, no cons!

Location was fabulous and and the house is so interesting.

We had trouble with one of the showers and since there were 6 adults staying there, the fact that we only had one working shower for 5 days was an issue. It did get resolved, though, so the end of the stay was perfect.

Amazing location, plenty of space

This a great house for our group of 8. its location on Calton Hill was a bonus.

The beds were a little soft

Absolutely perfect location for those traveling into Edinburgh and for that who want to explore the Old Town and New Town. So much more room than a hotel for a similar price. When I’m back in Edinburgh I will definitely stay here again. As close to a perfect place to stay as possible.

Room for 7 adults not 8. Added nearly £200 cleaning charge onto the advertised amount. Had to take own rubbish down to main street and find a bin to put it in.

We had a fantastic team strategy away day here - the venue was perfect for those travelling far by train - just a few minutes away. The helpful pictures and instructions to access the property were brilliant. The house itself is just stunning and the views brilliant with a wonderful garden and patio. Marco was a fantastic host and replied quickly to questions and even quickly dropped off firelighters and kindling so we could have a lovely cosy fire on our last night. We would highly recommend!
