Great location, easy parking, good breakfast and spacious rooms

Air conditioning in our room was broken, which couldn’t be fixed during our one-night stay but the staff were exceptional and helped with a fan.

"A luxurious restful stay in wonderful Newcastle"

Beautiful clean spacious room, huge super king bed which we found to be really comfy! Easy online checkin and out. Nice breakfast in Gino restaurant. We took advantage of prepaid rate so felt very good value for money

The location might not be right for some visitors. Not knowing Newcastle, we did not know that the quayside is a steep descent from the railway station. So if you are visiting for the shops or things in the centre of town, or you do not like walking uphill, then this location might not work for you. Public transport did not seem to reach this area either. However, the hotel is perfectly located for Tyne views, quayside walks, and access to Sage and the Baltic. We had wonderful walks along the quayside to Ousburn.

It’s light and airy with a modern white design. It was exceptionally clean and the complementary river speaks for itself! The breakfast room was flooded with light from the massive windows right on the river side. The tables were clean and at a very competitive £17.50pp the extensive and varied breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. We’ve visited a fair number of hotels in Newcastle in the last year, but this one blows them all out the water! We liked it so much that we already booked our next stay!
