Oasis at Newman

I was very disappointed with this accommodation. This is a mining company Donga accommodation. It should be advertised as such. The Donga is very small & not suitable for couples, as it is too small. The Food in the camp kitchen ( buffet style) was just satisfactory, at $40 each. The Reception confirmed that this facility is owned & run by BHP. Overall I’m not impressed as it’s not value for money.

Great friendly staff. Great amenities. Comfy accommodation. I stay here regularly for work and cannot speak highly enough of the welcoming and friendly staff. I highly recommend for anyone. The food is great and if there are any small issues the staff are on to it straight away. If your passing through definitely worthwhile

If I could give zero I would Drove into the place after driving 14 hrs and really looking forward to chilling and a good night sleep before another big day tomorrow only to find that the vast majority of the place is a mining camp. The room is a tiny donga definitely not big enough for two of us. The shower and bathroom area are stained and filthy, the floors are dirty with sand and grit on them and the bed linen looks like it’s been used a million times plus I was greeted by a lovely blowfly as I entered the room 🤮 The bed was broken and the stench coming from it was appalling, the fridge had someone else’s food containers in it and the walls along the bed were filthy This very disappointing room cost my Husband and I $170 and we had the offer of camp/buffet food for an additional $40 each. Perhaps Oasis should advertise that a mining camp is within there accommodation because if I had known this I would never have booked. If I wanted to stay in a mining camp I would have joined the mines🤨

Have stayed at Oasis on a number of occasions. Rooms are neat, compact, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, particularly the kitchen and house keeping/grounds staff. Food is very good. Healthy options available for every meal. Beautiful roast on a Sunday. Enjoy staying at Oasis and look forward to staying again. My only suggestion would be to have a glass and wine glass in each room.

Being a vegan working FIFO you get used to there not being a lot of food choices, so very used to living in veg and salad. I had given up asking and just except - after all it is my choice. After I unintentionally mentioned to the chef I was vegan he has gone out of his way to find me something new and a bit more exciting. I really appreciate it. 🙏

Excellent Christmas Day Dinner at Oasis. Food presentation, choice and flavour was beyond expectations. As resident Fifo workers at Oasis, the food is always good and plentiful, however Christmas Day the team went that extra mile to make our day special. Thank you so much to Tim and all the catering staff (sorry don't know names) for your hard work on Saturday.

It is conveniently located just outside Newman. The Accommodation is ok, a small room with bathroom, well Airconditioned and clean. My only complaint is the quality of the beds. Understanding the prices for this area, I would expect to have a more comfortable bed to sleep on, not a worn out old Mattress that gives you backaches.

Simple but quiet and comfortable motel. Small room but clean. The motel is about 10 km out of Newman meaning it’s a 8-10 minute drive into town.

Great accomodation for the price . Clean , comfortable and quiet room with parking outside the door. Reception staff were very efficient and friendly and we highly recommend the extra charge for breakfast, dinner and lunch , excellent value and the food was fabulous . Highly recomend this accomodation and will certainly stay again.
