The Royal Oak Hotel

Breakfast excellent.

Evening meal expensive and we didn't get what we ordered. We ordered salmon, sauteed potato and roasted veg, what we got was meagre portion of salmon, beautifully cooked, boiled plain potatoes, stalky cauli and broccoli, carrots and french beans. Apart from potatoes veg was cold. Was reported to server who saw chef who said he had made a mistake, I asked what were they going to offer as a refund or compensation, this was met with a shrug of the shoulders. At £23.50 over priced and disappointing.

The room was to small, shower head was broken, mattress was hard Our evening meal was served at our table but it was someone else's dinner. Hotel is a bit dated, requires a refurbishment.

Everyone from the owner to the manager and all the others were excellent

Location is in one of most beautiful villages in Scotland , Hotel a minute from the harbour of Cullen . Stayed in many hotels but this is both relaxing and Friendly . It was recommended by one of businesses nearby as was stuck for accommodation and late travelling back to Kinlochleven on West Coast .

A great location. Very good restaurant and service generally. Coffee machine in the room! Everything including breakfast was just perfect !

Breakfast was great. There was fresh fruit and yoghurt , cereal and cooked breakfast cooked to order for you.

The hotel was ideal for our visit. comfortable bedroom, very good breakfast and generally very good food.

we had lobster on our second evening, which turned out to be cold(should have been hot) lacking taste and was flabby. A big disappointment.

Comfy room, lovely staff, couldn’t be more helpful l, food is renowned here and lived up to expectations
