The Royal Oak Hotel

Un incantevole hotel, in una piccola cittadina molto affascinante. Lo staff è stato davvero cordiale. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante ed era tutto ottimo con cibo di qualità. Anche la colazione è stata eccellente, in una atmosfera molto confortevole. Assolutamente consigliato.

Great location, great staff and the breakfast was lovely. We were all greeted with a warm smile when we arrived and the waitress in the morning was great, even though she had to deal with several slightly odd requests from a large table of guests, who left a great deal of mess behind on their table. The decor was lovely too, not dated like you'd almost expect in a building of that age, but not overly modern either, very tastefully done!

Would benefit from blackout curtains as we had a window either side of the room, so couldn't turn away from the light. Mum's kettle was a bit hard to use for someone who uses a walking stick. She couldn't unplug it, so had to go back and forth with a glass of water to fill it

We visited during a heatwave. Hotel only 2 minutes from a beautiful sandy beaches. Went there every morning and evenings during our two nights stay. It is a traditional Scottish hotel so unfortunately did not have air-conditioning, but we didn't expect to have that, and it did not effect our enjoyment. Room was well equipped, with coffee pods etc, and kettle. Large 42 inch tv. Staff very friendly.

Really nice to stay there. Very cozy.
