We just got back from a spontaneous 1 night stay. We just found Skylaranna on line and booked it thinking the price looked fair. From then time we drove up till the time we left it exceeded our expectations. I have only written a few reviews in my life. but felt compelled to write one here because as I looked on the website to look to book another time in the future I read some of the reviews written by others. We found the staff to be over the top friendly and engaging. Kevin ,the owner, spent time talking to us, while I am sure he had other pressing issues to attend to. Our cabin was very clean. We ate at the restaurant, the food was delicious and surprisingly, very fairly priced. The setting is unique, perched upon a hill with a sweeping front lawn is feels very welcoming, unlike a cold hotel. The price for the room was reasonable we thought before booking, As we checked out we felt is was more than fair. We are consider inviting our children and their families up for a stay. Don't let the negative comments of others here prevent you from a great experience.

Convenient to many towns. Room was clean and warm. Bed was comfy.

Kitchenette lacked a sink, description said there was a toaster and there was not one. Coffeemaker didn’t work right. Sink plug was broken and had to put a spoon in it to keep it open. Management did not get back to us about fixing it.

Clean room. Beautiful rolling hills setting, perfect for young people and weddings. Easy access to points of interest. Best for warmer seasons.

Not suitable for senior citizens due to awkward steps and stairs to all rooms and dining facilities. Poor parking areas for cabins and studios.

Location, the view, would stay here again Had dinner there the first night was excellent. Celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary . Enjoyable

That there was no bathroom upstairs. And there needs to be some form of curtains on the window in the bathroom since it is right up front in the cabin . We could tell they were still cleaning up from the storms. Which is understandable. ♥️
