it was extremely clean! had everything we needed and a nice touch was arriving to milk and tea and coffee. Nice to have chairs in garden. sofa bed comfortable as was our bed. very quite located and lovely local pub with beautiful views.

slightly too cold for me at times as we had not so nice weather but to be fair the owner said we could contact him if needed more heat. Because of high costs I felt bad to if I’m honest.

I made a genuine mistake in thinking this property allowed pets. I would never, ever have taken the property if I had thought this was not the case. There are plenty of other properties that do allow pets. We have friends in this village, but did not want to trouble them with having our pets, so took alternative accommodation that we thought would allow pets. A neighbour saw the dogs and alerted the owner, who was away. She came round and asked us to contact him. I rang him and was met with a torrent of abuse. He was convinced that we had tried to sneak the dogs in and accused me of dishonesty, ordered us to leave within 10 mins (at 6.30 pm) or he would call the police!! He swore at my husband and was unbelievably rude and offensive. It was a horrible experience, particularly as we are meticulous about not imposing our dogs where they are not welcome. For him to not even listen to my version of how the error had occurred and just shout and swear at us was beyond unpleasant. In my book a person is innocent until proven guilty, but he obviously operates under a different moral code. It was upsetting and I have a good mind to sue him for defamation of character.

Great location with parking. Very good, self contained property with everything you need for a short stay. Very well presented and comfortable.

The shower pressure was extremely strong - made showering a little uncomfortable and the bathroom very wet. There was no cheese grater. Very small things which did not really affect out stay but just worth mentioning:).
