Oasis on Belmont Lane

The house was very spacious and well equipped. There were beautiful views from the upstairs bedrooms. It was only several km to the wedding venue, Lochend Woolshed., so is perfect for guests with a wedding to go to there.

The location at the end of a private lane made it a little harder for other family to pop in.

Location was fantastic for the purpose of our visit, which was for our daughters wedding. The house was well appointed with plenty of room inside. A quality property, Would highly recommend this property

Maintenance upkeep both inside and out. Outside needs some TLC, many windows had cobwebs on the outside. Inside: Many light bulbs were not working, toilet seat in downstairs bathroom was extremely loose. Ranchslider in dining room was not able to be opened and the door in the lounge leading outside to the paved area was locked with no key to be found. While these are very minor issues, they are also essential up keep for such a quality property.

the property was clearly not recently used - the upstairs shower flooded on the first day, water all over the hall upstairs and from the room below - ceiling pouring with water into the room below. We used all the towels to mop up, trying to maintain it, no offer of towels to replace, had to wash them all, Kitchen drawers were not clean, poorly equipt kitchen in general - no serving platters for drinks and dinner, Really not a good deal for the price.

The house was absolutely beautiful. Very spacious. Big Kitchen and bedrooms. beautiful gardens and not too far from town, around 5-8min, depending on the traffic.

We arrived at the end of the afternoon from the beach. There were 5 young kids needing a shower, after 2kids had a shower, the 3rd had a cold/slightly warm shower, the rest of us, four, couldnt have a hot shower. We had to use a warm cloth (used water from the jug) to clean the other 2 children. Very unpleasant. Called the management as we thought it might be a problem, as the hot water finished really quickly, sadly they couldnt do anything. Th Hot Water Cylinder has no capacity for 8ppl, not even 4ppl, unless they have a 2-3min shower. It was so disappointing as i was looking forward for a bath, but we couldnt even have a hot shower, which is the Minimum we expect from any place, especially when we pay so much for a night. The other negative point is, the curtains. If you sleep in master bdr , you will wake up with the sun, not pleasant either. Such a fancy house, which could not provide the basic.

Oasis on Belmont Lane was a perfect home for our friends. It's really nice home, clean and well-equipped. Flawless message communication with the host. HUGE space with lots of places to relax. Each room had a great view which everyone loved, and the kitchen was a cooks dream.

Nothing really~

This is a large house with lots of room to spread out, with good kitchen and big bedrooms. Location is good too - far from noisy students, but still only a few minutes drive from town. And Nicky from Edinburgh Short Stays was superb at promptly dealing with problems we had with hot water.

The lock box is a a bit finicky - took some doing on a dark night to open it and it wasn't until day two that I figured out how to lock it properly. Could do with replacing. We had problems with hot water too in the mornings - usually only two showers possible with the third going cold. Plumber and electrician investigated but found no fault. Odd in such a large house.

Very enjoyed staying at this property, spectacular view and spacious house, definitely stay again when we travel to Dunedin.
