Room a little small for cost

Nothing, we did not get past the hallway because they double booked and left us with nowhere to stay. Worst experience I have ever had with a B&B or Hotel. Rude and unprofessional

This B&B double booked the room that we were supposed to stay in and wouldn't solve the problem. I phoned the property before booking to make sure that they could accommodate wheelchairs and to book a first floor room and phoned again after booking to confirm. When we arrived the husband who answered the door to was not expecting us and didn't know what to do, he called his wife who was out shopping and arrived half an hour later only to be incredibly rude to us and refused to let us stay saying that the room we had reserved was already occupied and they didn't do one night stays only weekly, so I think they possibly got a better offer. She even tried to tell us we had not booked even though I showed her the confirmation, she just made excuses. I had my 83 year old mother with me in a wheel chair who was very tired after a long day out. We had nowhere to stay and we had travelled by train so was far away from home with no way of getting home easily. I tried explaining this to the woman, but she wasn't interested and was very rude to us, she just wanted us gone, her husband looked very embarrassed at the way she was speaking to us. A refund, was refused, we left at that point and tried to find other accommodation but everything was booked because of the event that was going on that weekend. It was a struggle to get home and cost us extra money to travel home which wasn't until well after midnight. My mother was very distressed, I couldn't believe what had happened and was made even worse because they turned away a very elderly disabled lady who was obviously very upset at what they had done - Shame on them. When we got home I contacted Booking.com who agreed with us that we had been treated very badly and issued a full refund. I also took the time to look at some of their past reviews, many were good, but a few were not and the woman was very rude when replying to some of them which is very unprofessional.

Within walking distance to the sea front and town. Was able to park just outside. Breakfast was nice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nicely decorated.

The room we had was right at the top, no view out of the window. The room was very warm. Could have done with a fan. But not much room for one I suppose.

Breakfast good, no problems. Plenty of variety.

No wardrobe in room, the closet not ideal for hanging clothes, lot of pipe work in the closet.

Safe area with easy parking. Decent pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Very good bus service nearby.
