GBLovely big room very light huge window. Room and bathroom really clean and fresh and smelt nice. .Staff super friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The only negative was the reception area on arrival. (Absolutely not the staff who was a lovely welcoming, helpful and professional young man.) But the reception layout/decor. Firstly it wasnt clear where it was in arrival as at the back of the property. ….? Very much in need of relocating it or renovating it as it’s a very bad layout. Should be moved to the front where the restaurant entrance is and looks like it might have been there at one time. Feel like you are sneaking in the back door. It’s also very run down and dark. In need of rethinking. Because the reception doesn’t give a true representation of the hotel which is really lovely! Because of the reception I had concerns on the hotel standard but have to say I ended up pleasantly suprised as everything else was lovely and hotel has some real character. That’s my only negative but think it’s important as it’s the first impresssion you get and it’s letting sown the rest of the place.

GBThe breakfast was delicious. I ordered eggs benedict and it was one of the best I've ever had. There is a great breakfast menu, with plenty to choose from as well as cereals, porridge, juices and fruit.
There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

GBRoom was large and well decorated; the bed was very comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was really, really good. Overall, great value for money.
The exterior of the hotel was tired, as were the public corridors and stairwells. Room 9 had 2 flues up the outside wall with fans from the kitchen?? These had an irritating droning noise non-stop. The shower was very quirky, but once understood gave a good shower.
GBThe rooms here are beautifully designed. They are so clean and ver spacious. The staff cannot do enough to help and the chef is just. WOW! I want to eat my breakfast here every single day. Bar staff are so welcoming and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Its a 10/10 from me.

Shower in ensuite needs maintenance to work properly though would be better replaced with a standard quality straight forward to use shower.
