Giddy Goose

Good location, good size and spec for our family.

Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t very clean. Other people’s open food in draws ( open sweet and biscuit packets), dirty cupboard, drawers,outside of kettle, dirty splash back and cupboard sides by cooker. Debris and dust under sofas in lounge. No grill with the oven, loose mantle over the fire in the lounge food debris in groves on dinning table.

Cleanliness. There was left over underwear (thong) left on the floor next to the radiator in the twin room on the top floor (my children's room).

Everything in one place. Giddy Goose is central for everything. There are cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and convenience stores/food shops all within easy walking distance. The bus and railway stations are close by too. We visited Bowness and also Kendal using the frequent local buses. Off road parking for 2 cars, what more could you ask for?

We visited last year and it was so good, we had to go again!!

Roomy and comfortable for whole family.

We had two cars. Parking of second car was sometimes an issue but host provided disc for alternate parking nearby.

Plenty of room for the three couples we were, comfy living room, good sized dining table, large kitchen & an extremely central location.

Was nothing in fridge no welcome pack

The place was ver unclean kitchen utensils oven fridge and equipment were very dirty

Spacious, separate kitchen, dining room and lounge so good for a larger party size. The location is ideal for walks and shops.

It needs a good clean, we had to wipe sides, oven and dishes before we felt we could use it. There is a smell in the kitchen that appears to be coming from the drains.
