Motel Edgebrook Chicago North Shore By Oyo

Waited over 30 minutes to get someone at the lobby and when they finally came they sent me to a horrible room with no AC, no lock on the door, bugs flying in the room, dirty.. refused to refund as I went to a different hotel as soon as I saw the state of the room.. but I will dispute with bank because it was beyond unacceptable

Room was dirty and equipment are outdated.

Room was very dirty and stained, with stained sheets, and stained headboard. All furniture looked old and outdated. Bathroom door literally had a hole in it.

first noise I hear when I step in is a fire alarm low battery chirp going off. first thing I see is two wires hanging from the ceiling where a fire alarm should be. Very confusing

This Motel was very very disappointing. The room was in bad shape, the floor was dirty and the bathroom was not clean. The drain in the bathroom was stopped up it was hard to shower. It was very unpleasant and upsetting. There was no air conditioning.

I liked that the motel was small, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also comparatively affordable. They are doing an upgrade, which would be good. Bed was quite comfortable. Crosby’s Kitchen was across the street. Also a Mexican restaurant and a gyro shop were close. Caldwell was not far away.
