Excellent dinner and breakfast. The owners were wonderful- friendly and helpful.

location was great for our cross Dales hike. Fair pub with the usual choice of ales, lagers and ciders. Reasonable evening meal and all in our group (6) enjoyed their menu choices. Room was comfortable and nicely furnished with coffee , hot chocolate and bottled water provided.

It's the small things that often count. we were leaving at 06h00 the next morning and requested 2x via Booking.com messaging and on the reservation form for a simple packed breakfast ( breakfast is included in the rate).No answer. over dinner we were promised a bacon bun would be available on the counter to take with us ... nothing in the morning. perhaps petty but it's what can make the difference between a good experience and average experience. Bed .mattress needs to be replaced (too soft) Water pressure in shower was low.

The room was a very good size and the Inn very spacious. The food and menu was average but good size portions and of a good quality.

Room TV didn't work and I could only get the shower temp.to warm.

Excellent location friendly staff food was great will definitely go again
