Location, location, location.

It’s only temporary, but for who knows how long - there is construction next door that is literally inches away. Can be avoided by simply asking for a room on the other side of the building. The price is right, the location excellent… just the daytime sound of hammers is well, hammering.

A gem of a hotel! Great location! Upon check in I was warmly welcomed and given an overview of the hotel. Fantastic staff! Rooms are very spacious and for once the AC unit actually reached the temperature it was set to! The front desk kept me informed of transfers and updates. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and welcoming on arrival and helpful dealing with our bags. One of our group had a serious medical issue requiring hospitalisation and repatriation to mainland Ecuador for surgery. This took a few days due to incompetence of the insurance company but the staff at La Isla hotel were amazing at accommodating our extended stay and variable check in and check out times over the next 5 days. They were very kind and supportive, flexible with moving our booking and even allowed me to take some breakfast to our hospitalised friend as the hospital was not providing food. Subsequently I contacted the hotel requesting an invoice for the additional dates stayed and they responded within hours sending the requested paperwork and best wishes for our friend’s recovery.

Location was good. The place was clean.

We didn’t have any shower gel / shampoo or conditioner. After telling the staff we were given them. We didn’t have the toilet holder the whole stay but it suddenly appeared on last day. The toilet is open , this information should be available in information about the property or clearer pictures would be helpful. The breakfast was bare minimum. On first day of our stay there was nothing at breakfast and when we asked staff they said it is because you came at last . We went 30 min before the breakfast time ended. Also they make you sign legal document to say if you damage towel / bed sheets and stuff you are liable for fine. I found this very passive aggressive. I understand generally if you damage property I would be liable for it. We also heard a lady complaining reception how she has been washing all night her towel on holiday due to pen mark on it which wasn’t even her fault.
