Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort

There are still plenty of things this hotel does really well. The location is excellent, close enough to restaurants, shops, and the beach, but far enough from the busiest areas to avoid most of the noise. The breakfast is honestly one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel, with a huge variety of options and different dishes available every day. Also, despite how busy the hotel was, housekeeping and room service were always quick and efficient, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional.

The biggest issue was how crowded the hotel was throughout our stay. The lobby always seemed packed with guests and luggage, there were often long queues at breakfast, and the pools were usually full. While it’s great to see the hotel doing well, the crowds definitely took away from the relaxing atmosphere we remembered from our previous visit. Another thing that disappointed us was the Infinity Pool at the Deck Beach Club. Despite being a beach club where people are smoking and drinking, it was constantly full of children. I actually mentioned this in my review last year and thought it might have changed by now, but unfortunately it hasn’t. Most of the time we were trying to relax on the sunbeds surrounded by kids, which isn’t really what you’d expect from a beach club setting. The weather was quite bad for most of our trip, which meant we ended up spending a lot more time at the hotel than planned. In those situations, it would have been nice to have more entertainment options in the room, as the TV mainly offered YouTube. On top of that, our room overlooked what appeared to be an abandoned rooftop area filled with stored items, which wasn’t exactly the nicest view.
