OYO Lamphey Hall

Nice clean hotel My room was ridiculously small with steps everywhere. The three stairs down into the room were dangerous as the last step was really high and the handle snapped off my travel bag when I first went down them. It was nice and quiet there, but too quiet

No staff, no cooked breakfast, no bar or bistro as advertised

The location was perfect, complementary breakfast was good.

The shower head wasn't working and we weren't able to have a shower especially with the weather being extremely hot. Even though we had a bath, we are not bath people.

Room was comfortable although the sink outside the loo is quirky. Hotel access code worked. Breakfast ok (not really continental as such but ok). £2.50 for any drink from the honesty bar was good. 500ml beers and cider available. Lots of free parking.

Couldn't work the TV. The side gate towards the Dial Inn is padlocked and it's a dodgy (perhaps dangerous) walk out through the main entrance.; no pavements and close to a bend. Received text about Dial Inn and Lydstep Tavern for eating out, but both closed on Sunday nights; had to eat in Pembroke.

Great place.....loved the easy of it all.

The room was comfortable & spacious. Good quality linen & towels, and a good tv.

The room had a bath with a hand-held shower - not ideal for us older guests. There was no bar or restaurant, despite the listing saying there was. We were only informed of this once we had paid for the room - we wouldn’t have chosen this hotel had we known. Our booking was for a Sunday - it would have been useful to know there was nowhere in Lamphey or the sister pub to the hotel, that would be serving food after 4pm, which meant driving to find somewhere. The included breakfast was cereal, yogurt, fruit & toast, which was all self-service. There were no staff on-site - communication was via text.

New owner v chatty at bfast Obviously what was once a hotel is now coded entry and self service bfast After long days cycling and nite in Tenby the lounge was v comfortable like having house to myself Plenty nibbles in lounge and bar fridge and comfy bed Perfect for cycling Pembrokeshire and no parking problems of Tenby Chatted to new owner and suggested they put bike storage and bike battery charging point and advertised in cycling websites CTC etc Wud make a great cycling center location with a bit of thought The new owner has another hotel in Tenby and pub closed by Very interesting chap

On going building work scrapping old paint off gable end with lots of flaked paint left on ground next to garden chairs and table Empty rear of building once a restaurant now awaiting new tenants for Italian restaurant Once it's up and running it ll be great Will be interesting to return and see what the new owner can achieve in the current high fuel people not travelling situation

Friendly staff and the location is superb and closer to all the beaches

Everything is perfect

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. A quiet, clean, well equipped room in a good location for us. The continental breakfast was very nice.

It was a little shabby.
