Heat in room and water perfect. Coffee lounge and provisions. Lovely building interesting. Great parking. Nice communication with clear instructions. Able to move around house to different area. Great location.Nice towels and bedding bed comfy. Good having sky. Neat and tidy house good furniture.

I arrived when it was dark and needed more light outside when walking down steps I needed to park at that side due to my mobility front was lit ok. I like to be able to open window but understand with these older buildings they have windows that cant always be open. I could smell tobacco smoke .I think from next room. Different level of floor in bathroom as I have dodgy hip.and scared of tripping. There was a fly 8n my room that was buzzing about and wouldn't go. Shower mat colour a bit off putting . Portrait on stairs creepy.

Very helpful. Although we had to skip breakfast our host let us take some snacks with us. Lots of choice on the tv as well.

I found the door lock difficult to open. It may have been due to arthritic fingers.

Dass wir mit Hilfe von booking.com nach sechs Wochen endlich unser Geld zurückbekommen haben. Ob das Hotel letztendlich gut und das Personal freundlich ist, können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir trotz bestätigter Buchung abgewiesen wurden.

Das es einem Hotel möglich ist einen Gast abzuweisen obwohl er mit einer Bestätigung vor der Angestellten steht. Im Anschluss daran hat das Hotel behauptet, das wir nicht angereist seien und haben ihrerseits das Zimmer storniert, das angeblich nicht mehr zur Verfügung stand. Es wurde nachvollzogen das diese Stornierung einige Stunden, bevor wir eigentlich noch hätten einchecken können, ausgeführt wurde .Wir konnten Gott sei Dank anhand von Bildern die wir gemacht hatten, die das Datum und die Uhrzeit belegten zu der Zeit an der wir da waren und einchecken wollten. Im Anschluss daran haben sie sich sechs Wochen geweigert uns das Geld zurückzuzahlen was natürlich auch einen endlosen E-Mail Kontakt und jede Menge Anrufe gekostet hat. Letztendlich haben wir es bekommen, aber nur weil booking.com sich dahinter geklemmt hat. Wir haben eine Rundreise gemacht, bei der wir jeden Abend in einem anderen Hotel waren. In diesem Hotel waren wir am zweiten Tag. Das heißt der Urlaub war ziemlich stress behaftet durch diese Aktion. Im Urlaub jeden Tag damit beschäftigt sein sein Recht zu bekommen, macht keinen Bock. Das war eine Erfahrung für die Tonne. Vielen Dank dafür

Whilst we were ok with key code entry to get into the hotel, we then had to ring a supplied tel no to get a key code to open a key box for room key. We were tired after a long journey and this was irksome. I think this needs to be explicitly set out in online booking for people to make an informed decision - Toilet was in the bathroom/sink was in the bedroom. When toilet was used/flushed in the early hours, a loud gurgling sound was emitted from the sink, disturbing my partner - hallway smelled of damp - room smelled of bleach: I do not use harsh chemicals in my own home - room became unbearably warm in night - had to get up & open window

The room - large and comfortable

When we arrived in the pouring rain we had to phone through to a oub a few miles away to get a code for access to get in. There were no staff in the hotel in the evening. In previous years we have had a marvellous meal in the hotel. As it was our 49th wedding anniversary and we were in the area that is why we booked to stay there. There was now no restaurant in the hotel, despite the web-site. We were advised to book a table at a pub a few miles away. When we saw the menu we saw run of the mill pub grub - nothing special - so we booked at another restaurant we knew from when we used to live in the area. There was no cooked breakfast in the morning - just continental.
