"Great hotel, staff not so cordial or pleasant. Not even an utterance of "enjoy your stay""

Lovely room, beautiful view, very comfortable.

Arrived at 2:30. Was told my room was ready but checkin was at 3. She indicated to checkin at 2:30 would cost $50! She then proceeded to tell me that she was putting a $250 hold on my card which would be refunded after checkout, and that it would take 2 to 5 days! Was not expecting g this and it certainly cut into the enjoyment of our stay. Less expensive restaurants and having drinks in our room instead of going out. Will not stay here again
