Hostal refugio's

Good location and price. We didn't actually stay overnight. Arrived early and left late on a night bus. Needed the room for a shower and to store bags. Shower is nice and hot. Bedding was clean.

Room was basic, could be cleaner(dust on shelves) Taped mirror on the ceiling and security gate at entrance indicates it's a sex hotel.

Hostel is very close from strict city centre, shops and tour offices which allows quick and easy moving around touristic attractions around Ica. P

Be aware hostel is near city market street so it can be loud but just like in whole city to be honest.

Near lots of places to eat. Not far from the main square. Room had vivid colours painted on the walls.

Entrance was through a metal cage. It felt like a prison. Hardly saw any staff. They just remote unlocked the metal gate using cameras.

The room and amenities worked well and had good value for money.

Me and two other guests had to wait at the front gate for 15 minutes as no one was at the reception or answering the phone. When the man came back, he was short with us and not polite. The hostel itself was fine- there was a mirror taped to the roof above my bed however. Strange...... 😉

Location is not too bad. Staff was friendly and room was ok for what you pay for. I added late check out for half price of the room. Cant complain for 1 night.

Not super clean but basic amenities worked. Bed was ok and shower was hot. Not a honeymoon hotel but well...

The area is dangerous at night. I would recomment only to leave with taxis directly in front of the door (at night). At day its a crowded lovely place!

All went well. In a bustly area
