Hostal refugio's

From other reviews, I was expecting a terrible place, but it was quite a positive experience. Obviously, for the price range, it's not a Hilton, still was confortable. The room, although not too big, it has well painted orange walls, and wi-fi was solid. The bathroom was in good conditions. It's only a few blocks from the main square

There is no signs outside to identify the presence of the hostel. So it's better to ask the owner for a picture of the entrance, otherwise it's easy to miss the entrance. Although, calls itself as "Hostal", it's more an "Hospedaje". That is there is no common area to meet fellow travellers. Other guests, were using the Hostal as a love motel.

Nothing

No running water, no one on reception to let you in when needed. Terrible prison-like atmosphere. People ringing incessantly all night to get in but no one on reception to let them in. This room was uninhabitable and brings shame on Booking.com that it was even on the website. Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in and it’s not even close.
