The Brakeman Hotel

We had a lovely stay at The Brakeman Hotel. Our room was excellent — spacious, well-equipped with great coffee facilities, and offered a fascinating view overlooking the cemetery. There’s a small coffee shop in reception, but note that it doesn’t serve food and has limited opening hours, so this may not be the place if you’re after on-site dining. However, if you’re looking for a high-quality room, friendly staff, convenient parking, and a great location close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, this hotel is perfect.

We would definitely stay here again. I'm so glad my husband and I discovered The Brakeman Hotel. Forget the big name hotels this is the way to go.

Wonderful hotel Very clean and accommodating Short walk to French Quarter

Fantastic location- just outside of the French quarter so it’s quiet at night. Our room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice location with a fun train lobby.

The location was perfect and plenty of parking if you’re driving there. The only bad thing is there is no pool.

The room only had 2 mirror that were both in the bathroom. There was only a microwave in the staff lounge.

Great location, a bit quieter but still super close to the French quarter. Lovely spacious, clean rooms. Felt very secure as you need a key card to use the elevator and access the floors with rooms. Really cool building!

Someone in the event space on the 4th floor was dragging around chairs/tables quite late one evening and it made the whole room vibrate! Maybe their staff can take more care to lift items and be mindful of guests below!
