The Brakeman Hotel

We absolutely loved The Brakeman! The spot is perfect for walking to just about anything. Loved the charm of the place and our room was perfect!

The location was excellent. Cross Rampart and you are in the quarter. We liked the museum in the lobby and the cleanliness of the property in general. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

Awesome hotel. Very accommodating. Great location. Walking distance to all of the nice restaurants we went to for brunch and dinner. Can also easily walk to Bourbon. Hotel is really nice and interesting. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.

What a find. A beautiful room in a quiet location convenient to the Quarter. A perfect trip. Thank you!

The beds were okay for a hotel. The pillows were very small.

The bathroom was very disgusting. The shower hadn’t been cleaned in awhile as there was dirt on the walls, the shower floor was black and there was black straight, course hair everywhere. The carpet was musty, not vacuumed and in dire need of a shampoo. There was also a constant noise coming from somewhere. We stayed in room 204.

Very cute hotel with pretty, comfortable rooms. Just off the French quarter so quiet but still walkable to everything. We drove in so parking was a big bonus. The cafe downstairs was very convenient.

It us the starting point to a lot of tours, which can be good if that's what you are doing. It just means the lobby downstairs is very busy during the day.

This was a rare find. Historic structure but rooms were modernized. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Big bathroom and bedroom. Quiet. Front desk check in was a little disheveled due to new staff but she was very helpful and friendly. Didn’t mind the inexperience because she was so nice and trying so hard. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
