Beautiful hotel ! Easy walking distance to the Quarter.

This is a great boutique hotel - large and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great location (we walked everywhere from here). Nothing fancy - but safe and clean and cute! And the staff are amazing

Very pleased with my stay at The Brakeman. Historic boutique hotel close to everything but not too close! Will absolutely stay here again, next time I’m in NOLA.

Mr Gregory checked us in. The best guy i have met. He knew the city and the best spots to eat at a great price. This gentleman knows his city and is proud off it. No other ataff evwn bothered to speak to us during the day. He works the evening shift. It was an honor staying here and having the opportunity to get to know this man.

Spacious rooms, nice staff, and good location, a short walk into downtown. But it’s a little pricey for the overall quality, in my opinion. know some people like the old, classic feel. It’s personal preference, but I would rather stay in a newer property. Three things bothered me: first, the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly (if you know what I mean) before I checked in… so I was greeted by a dirty toilet. It was cleaned well, though, thereafter. Second, I found a small gecko/lizard on my floor. I don’t think he got into my room, but he could have easily because there is a huge space between the bottom of the door and the floor. Third, on my last day, there were window cleaners making crazy noise at 8am. Listen, you could do much worse than this hotel. In many ways, it’s nice, and the things I’m describing are relatively minor. It’s just that I stay in a lot of hotels and I expected more for the price.

Great stay, Mr. Robertson at the front desk made it worth a visit alone, but also everything else was very exceptional.

Beautiful, large red brick rooms. Staff was friendly and highly efficient.

The property is beautiful; i love the museum on the 1st floor and I loved the location and it felt safe the entire time. The staff was friendly and gave me great recommendations to places to eat. My only complaint was that my room A.C. was broken. The staff was notified and wasn't able to make it to room at 11pm at night.
