Vivera Highlands

Location was great exactly in Kodaikanal town. All the main food spots are nearby

Room was really not clean. The pillow cover bed cover was really untidy.

They say wifi is available, but they turn it off at 12AM exactly They say Campfire and music is available. But they just take down the music and put off the campfire exactly after an hour We were group of 8, we were offered a FULL-COTTAGE, where there are no windows. Zero network cuz the so called cottage is in basement.The wooden walls inside the cottage are horribly disposing bad smell. Next comes the elephant foot. While checking in, they took my id proof and somehow I forgot to take it back (cuz we paid through multiple cards and forgot to take one). But guess what, they've returned my id to some other guy living in Kerala (Wtf ??). Horrible management staff I would recommend you to look for another stay if you're planning to spend your time peacefully in this beautiful town

Stay was very comfortable in Vivera Highlands hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious with facilities like Geyser, electric kettle etc. provided which are required in Kodaikanal climate. Staff & receptionist were warm, friendly and courteous. They themselves have a few cabs/taxis which you can book with a driver for sightseeing, with economical fares. They have a list of places which you can book as a package, or can choose which places you want to visit. The driver acted as a guide as well explaining the different places that we visited. They have a restaurant in their campus where we had breakfast (We had booked the rooms with breakfast included). Satisfied with the service overall !!

The room that we booked, though spacious and clean, didn't have ventilation. I guess there are other rooms with a balcony included where you will get ample ventilation, I should have booked them. Nevertheless it wasn't a deal breaker given the cold weather of Kodaikanal.
