Older property, great staff and older but clean room! Good for the price, will be going back to explore Collingwood area again

The location was good

Our deadbolt didn't work and staff tried telling me it's fine and that the door locks from the outside and then when I continued to say I need a new room that locks they tell me none of the deadbolts work on any of the rooms! Eventually we did get another room with a deadbolt that works. The A/C kept making a smell while it was on, informed staff and they simply said that they change the filters so it cannot be the A/C. The "hot water" isn't hot, had it all the way on with the cold water off and it didn't get very hot. Staff do not clean the rooms till you leave yet they enter the rooms multiple times a day, I would leave a light on in the room for when we got back and EVERYTIME we left and came back all the lights were off so they must've entered the room but never cleaned up so unsure why they would even enter.

The property was clean, reasonably priced, and service was good. It is a retro motel with dated decor but it was clean, and walkable to downtown. Collingwood has gotten so expensive - so this is an affordable option.

The kitchen with plates and cups and ice. there was a electrical kettle last time but it was not there in my recent stay. It would be good to have a kettle for boiling water.
