Welbedacht Game & Nature Reserve

Liked its location on a nature reserve. Tulbagh is a lovely area.

Didn't like the parts of the property which had unmade or rocky roads. Not good for our car which was heavily loaded. Also quite a journey to reach as the lower road was closed resulting in a detour.

The location is excellent, views are fantastic. Very comfortable bed and my allergy of feathers was accommodated. The remoteness makes for a very romantic stay. Lovely shower Very Clean cottage

There is clearly a damp issue and leaks from the roof which made our pillows wet. The Kol Kol never got hot despite 3 hours of burning, we eventually gave up. Tulbach Town is very disappointing and does not do the venue justice. Best to stay on the Farm There was a detour due to a blocked road when we arrived that we were not informed about, luckily there was a local gentleman to explain where to go. Desperately searched for a bottle opener but could not find one to enjoy our wine

Everything was lovely

We stayed in Orchard Cottage in Weldedacht Game Reserve. We travel to Tulbagh as a group of friends every year in May to attend the Vintage and Vine festival and this accommodation is our new favorite. The unit is super comfortable for 2 couples and allows privatcy but also areas we can "kuier" together. It is fully equipped with everything you need and has a wood indoor fires as well as electric blankets and air-conditioning in both bedrooms. The braai is outside but covered, so we braaied rain or shine. It also has a dipping pool for summer months or leg recovery after enjoying the Mtb trails in the area. We highly recommend this accommodation.
