Welbedacht Game & Nature Reserve

The quiet nights, scenic views of the mountains, being woken by birds chirping. Birds visiting the trees by our cottage to eat. The hot tub and the cottage had all the things we needed for the weekend. The hostess was friendly and helpful.

The hot tub and braai isn't covered when it rains and the stoep rains wet. Would've been beautiful to watch the rain in the stoep but still beautiful looking out the door and windows when it rains

How well structured it was particularly for someone into nature

This is our go to for relaxation and getting away from it all. You can go the entire stay without seeing one person, which is what is needed when you want to get away from it all.

Loved the splash pool on the front deck and the air-conditioner. Appreciated all the equipment supplied including the iron, hairdryer, coffee plunger, fire tools and the basket of wood. Perfect scenery and amazing visits by the birds, kwagga and springbok in the open space in front of the cottage (Stone Cottage).

One of the deck chairs had a hole in it, but we didn't need it. There was no body wash gel in the shower dispenser but we had our own soap anyway. Really nothing negative to say because it was an amazing stay at Stone Cottage.

Ein echtes Paradies! Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht hier waren. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Süßes nettes Häuschen mit allem was man braucht. Ausstattung besser als erwartet. Lage und die ganze Anlage wunderschön und immer wieder haben wir beim Spaziergang die Tiere getroffen. Sollten wir wieder kommen, werden wir hier nochmal übernachten.

Wir würden kein Frühstück mehr buchen, da es von außerhalb gebracht wird , eine Stunde zu spät kam und nicht unser Geschmack war, aber das schmeckt anderen vielleicht besser und dadurch auf keinen Fall Punkte - Abzug. Wir waren hier sehr glücklich und zufrieden.

Problems with getting hot water

Breakfast not provided. Cottage was reasonable but not wonderful. It is more of a nature reserve than a game reserve. The birdlife was quite good.

Particularly that there was no one on site to greet us and explain the resort.
