"Peaceful cottage"

This booking was for Tortoise cottage, a lovely 2 sleeper cottage with a mountain water plunge pool with kolkol heating. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need and is surrounded by trees and frequented by animals each morning. It has a comfortable large bed and neat bathroom. Also fitted out with a fireplace which I'm sure would be useful in the cold winter days.

Everything was perfect.

"Escape to nature!"

Welbedacht Nature Reserve is absolutely stunning and peaceful. We booked 5 cottages for our family, each private and spaced about 100-200m apart, all were clean and well equipped with everything you need for a self catered stay. Tulbagh town is a short drive away if you need any groceries. The area also has numerous stunning wine farms from 10min drive away.The plunge pools on the front decks are amazing, sitting in the morning having a cup of coffee while watching the animals was fantastic. We had beautiful peacocks, ostriches and zebra walking around our cottages daily...very cool to experience with some springboks in the distance too. The property is perfect for walks or hikes and a swim at the Zwemdam. Don't forget to look up at the sky at night...stars on full display! One cottage had a boomslang visitor...part of nature 😅 Photos on the site should be updated, the upgrades done are fantastic 😀 Check in and check out was painless and well coordinated. Our family enjoyed every minute and hope to be back soon!

One of our cottages seemed to have been missed for restocking before we checked in, it didn't have salt, pepper, a lighter for the gas stove, coffee tea, beach towels, etc like the other cottages had. One cottage had no water on arrival...however this was very quickly sorted by the staff so excellent service!

"It was great"

Very private, makes you feel like you are alone in the entire area.

The road, it was too bumpy and made our tyre flat.

"Spectacular mountain views"

The mountains are so quiet and peaceful. Lovely cool inside the cottage. Good place to reflect and switch off. The accomodation had everything we needed. The aircon in the rooms was a bonus. Definitely a great place to visit.

"Cold Supermoon Experience in a Magical Forest"

I liked everything! Experiencing the Cold Supermoon in such a magical setting was very special. The views from this cottage are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the privacy.
