The Fives Oceanfront Riviera Maya - All Inclusive Optional

Nice beachfront. Go on a snorkling tour it is amazing!

Bathroom was leaking. Modern hotel but already decaying a bit. Keep selling you extra stuff. Sales pitch in the beginning. Not worth the high price in general.

A lovely hotel, BUT... It is not as advertised. They claim to offer gourmet dining in 3 restaurants with the top floor food adults only offering an exquisite Sushi Menu. The three menu's are published on their main site, but none of the menu's on offer were as published and only one of the two main restaurants is open each day for dinner. The top floor one is only open for snacks at lunchtime and there is no Sushi on offer at all. There are long waits at the restaurant every day including at breakfast time and the service is slow. When the food does eventually arrive, it is tepid or luke warm at best and really quite bland. The only good thing about this hotel are some of the front of house staff (not the Managers) - Joye, Victor, Karen, Roseanna, Jesus to name a few. They work so hard and always with a smile despite the problems that they are faced with. Managers and owners need to get a grip of this hotel as it should be such a fantastic and relaxing place to visit. During our stay, every other guest we spoke to had also experienced the same issues and were very unhappy that what they had paid for was not being delivered, including some members who get a butler service and had the red carpet treatment when they arrived only to find out later that things were not as they first appear. Beware.

This is our second stay at a Fives property and definitely not our last! We absolutely adore vacationing in Mexico and, at this point, we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Diego and Candido from the concierge staff absolutely pampered us and took care of every request we could think of—from scheduling massages and meals to making sure our room was exactly the way we wanted it. They make you feel like you are part of the family the minute you check-in. It's truly a masterclass in hospitality! Abraham, Gabby, Sergio, and the entire wait staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and hardworking. It truly is some of the best service you’ll find anywhere. The food is not just amazing “for an all-inclusive” – it’s amazing, period. From Mexican to Caribbean, steak to Italian, they do it all, and they do it beautifully. The drinks are strong and delicious—the best mango margarita around, hands down. The hotel grounds are stunning, and the oceanfront property in particular is exquisitely relaxing. Our room was perfectly appointed, spotless, comfortable, and exactly what we hoped for. We’re already planning our return for Spring Break and a family reunion this summer. We've spent many years visiting different resorts throughout Mexico, and at this point there's no reason to go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and just book something at any one of the Fives properties!

Loving the #epic life at Oceanview by The Fives. Will review more later. Membership really does have its benefits with Epic.

Flatters to deceive. Not as described. A real shame as the front of house staff are lovely but management try to remain invisible. There are clear and plentiful issues going on behind the scenes.

Nous avions réservé un soir le restaurant gastronomique à 20 h et nous avons été installés à table avec presque 45 mn de retard. D’autres personnes ont attendu 1 heure. Pas vraiment d’excuses ni de petit verre pour attendre. Nourriture correcte mais pas exceptionnelle… du coup, nous n’y sommes pas retournés

Do not recommend. Will not ever go back. Promised room facing beach, instead room was facing side street. Were there ld because they were overbooked. No refund for difference in the cost to f the rooms. Long wait time for all food. Ordered a fruit plate at roof top pool location, over a hour later, still no food. Bar at Lobby, not staffed most of the time. Bar on rooftop closed very early. There was supposed to be 3 restaurants, only 1 was ever open. Went to Romarly to eat. We were asked about our reservation, that it was needed. I informed her we were planning on eating at the restaurant that had Italian food but it was closed. That was on them and not us. Had to wait for seating. Service time for taking order and delivery of food was sometimes over 2 hours and often incorrect. Food bland. Not many choices, especially having to eat at the 1 restaurant for 5 days. The lighting so dim in the restaurant, people were using the flashlight on their cell phones to be able to see the menu . Loud banging, beating on floors above beginning at 6 am. We were told all inclusive, including room service. Upon check out, room service and additional fees. Their charge to take us to airport was going to be $95 but a taxi was less than $50. Definitely not a 5 star resort. I’d give the experience less than a 1. Seating on beach, very unclean. I am highly allergic to down/ feathers. Requested other pillows and duvet. Had trouble getting them. Keith being told their pillows and duvet were cotton. I told them to come to the room and I would show them where it was also stated on the tags. While in elevator, power went out in elevator and we were stuck until it came back on. It went s overpriced for what you receive and is not worth the money

Grote kamer met prachtig uitzicht op zee. Heel goed bed. Grote badkamer. Fantastische spa ! Een absoluut aanrader .

Douchekop en kranen onder de kalk , voegen in de douche vies. Ligbedden op terras vies. Alles was een beetje smoezelig behalve het bed die gelukkig schoon was. Ontbijt was zeer teleurstellend. Na de eerste ontbijt hebben we altijd buiten de deur gegeten.

So peaceful, clean, great food and wonderful people. Must sample food in the little town, its delicious. Lots of cenotes

Location was good. Atmosphere was beautiful— aesthetics were high end. Rooms were clean and nicely appointment, when the keys were working. The value for the room was reasonable however the all inclusive was not. Noice was moderate and enjoyable. Service was medium, it took going out of our way to get service at the beach. Mostly the food was lacking and the communication prior could be vastly improved.
