The Swan Inn

A quick stay over, but great experience and will stay again. rooms are very good and well provided; early takeout breakfast-on-the-go option was nice as we were leaving early. food was good in lively bar/ restaurant

The Swan Inn is a beautiful pub in a quiet country area with easy access to Cheddar. We loved the property and enjoyed our stay very much. We ate dinner one night and breakfast one morning and both meals were delicious. I’d highly recommend The Swan Inn if you’re looking for a quiet country stay in a lovely old pub.

The accommodation itself had the potential to be amazing - if it wasn’t for the fact that the room was filthy. We asked for the room to be cleaned twice, & it still wasn’t clean. Very disappointing, especially as I paid more than I normally would as the room (aside from the dirt) was decorated to an extremely high standard & the bed was comfy. The hotels Assistant Manager (Mark) did not follow up with us to see if we were happy & did not apologise for the state of the room. The photos are after we’d got the room cleaned for a 2nd time! We also waited 25 mins for breakfast, which meant we had no time to shower in the morning before check out.

Stayed for one night prior to flying to Kos from Bristol airport. Beautiful Pub and rooms in quiet countryside area yet only ten minutes away from the airport. Great food and comfy homely rooms and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very good couple of days away in this super friendly well equipped Inn .Food delicious, staff so so helpful accommodation perfect Only one grumble. Please do NOT put red wine in the fridge!

The room was great and very well appointed with lovely touches. Bed was super comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty (extra sausage for the dog was a lovely touch!). Bar/Dining area was a great warm and welcoming area and a seat by the fire was a nice touch for dinner. Staff were super friendly and customer service was wonderful. Thanks to Charlotte and team for (seemingly) effortless attention to detail. We will be back!

Staff excellent. Expensive. Lucky to have been able to be Upgraded due to no hot water in shower. Menu not to my taste. Property in need of repair.

Fantastic find for a nights stay prior to early flight from Bristol airport. Friendly staff, great affordable food and clean, well equipped rooms. Will definitely use again.

My father was hospitalised just before the booking was due to commence, the manager was absolutely fabulous about this and kept the booking open until the very latest time and date, but unfortunately my father did not recover and he didn’t stay at the Swan as a result. Wonderful service great manager, real person! Huge thanks..
