great place to stay. staff all very good, helpful and friendly. food excellent. bedroom very comfortable.

Beautiful pub in lovely location! Rooms are gorgeous however in the sun could do with more than 1 small fan. Breakfast took a while to be served. However overall for location and beautiful setting, would visit again!

A lovely pub with great food and comfortable rooms

We booked an overnight stay on return from our holiday as we had a late flight arrival. Very impressed with our room and had a great nights sleep with a delicious breakfast before our long drive back home. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation you will not be disappointed. The staff couldn’t be more helpful when our late flight became even later due to a delay.

Thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay at the Swan Inn. Food was great, also. I would higly recommend this hotel.

Stay two nights at the Swan Inn and wished I had more time there. The room was beautiful, with everything we needed and clean. The pub is really nice with great food. The staff were very helpful and pleasure.

Fantastic location in the Mendips. Given the great reviews we were a little disappointed. We arrived at 3pm and on walking into the bar/restaurant we noticed almost every table full of empty glasses and plates and one girl trying her absolute best to serve coffees, check people in, clear tables etc. She said she didnt know were all tbe other staff had gone. We were too late to eat so went elsewhere. In the evening a similar story, one girl mostly trying to serve the whole pub, whilst 3 seemingly untrained staff behind the bar. Food was cold on arrival after waiting about 45 mins for it so sent it back, another couple told us they did the same. In the morning again we waited ages for our breakfast even though we were the only ones there, and at one stage while we were waiting for coffee, and another couple had arrived at their table and ignored for 15 mins we saw waitng staff outside chatting and smoking. On check out they had put our bill on tbe wrong table and couldnt work out how to fix it, so they said they would call us later to pay. Maybe they have staff issues, and maybe we caught them on a very bed day, but someone in charge needs to get a grip. We stay at Butcombe properties a lot, and this really is not their usual standard.

The room was great unfortunately when we were there they had no oil so the heating and hot water were not available however this would not stop us rebooking we ate in their restaurant in the evening and the food was good breakfast was also great good selection and generous portions
