Aspira Cruise

Wonderful staff. Stunning views. Great boat!

Wifi not great, but that's not surprising, and not expected to be good out at sea. Set Dinner was too much for me. And would have preferred more a Vietnamese buffet.

If you are going on a cruise in Ha Long bay you can safely choose Aspira cruise. The boat was nice, not too big, the rooms were great with nice, private balcony. Good food and fun acitivities. We recommend to stay two nights. In that way you get much more out of the cruise, more interesting activities and more peace of mind....The day we came, we went on a kayak (or bamboo boat) trip through a cave. The day after, when most of the passengers went home, some of us who stayed for two nights, had a lovely day trip with a smaller boat. The host was great, we saw much more of the area and the nature, we went on a very nice bike ride (or you could ride electric cars) on Cat ba island and went kayaking and swimming in a small bay. The lunch onboard was huge and great. A calm trip and a nice sundeck. Back at the main boat we had a different dinner (both evenings 5 dishes) than the day before....Small, but nice pool, nice sun deck and a bar. Good massage. Nancy, leading staff, and (Bruce) Lee who guided us on the bustrip to and from the hotel to the boat were both very accommodating, pleasant and service minded. The bus (not the limo) was surprisingly good.

Nothing special about this cruise, but if you expect clear water, do not. As you probably know, you are not alone, there are a lot of other boats, but the nature experience is still very nice. Its calm, and specially when you stay two nights and go a little further, you go places where there are not many others...Guess it will depends from trip to trip.... We question emissions from the boats at sea.... Some places there are garbage, but not as much as we had read about. Nature conservation should and could probably be improved

Large room, wonderful bathroom with bath and shower, beautiful views, helpful attentive staff, great activities. Food was amazing.

Beautiful clean rooms with great views of the bay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful which made the stay enjoyable.

The boat was very nice and the room was spacious with a huge bath as promised and the balcony was great. The captain of the day boat was friendly and tried hard to please, chatting to us and he was informative of the local area. The dinner was nice.

BUT the bed is possibly to hardest most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on .. it felt like we were sleeping on a plank of wood. The schedule didn't always make sense and setting breakfast from 7-7:30am seemed unnecessary when we were hoping for a relaxing time. After making us rise at 6:30 we then sat around waiting for the activities to start so it seemed breakfast could have been set for later or at least longer than 30 minutes. The staff started cleaning our tables before we were often finished! This was mostly at breakfast. The dinner was very nice. The activities were a bit repetitive. The constant push for us to buy drinks became annoying as did the not so subtle envelope for tips left on the dining table. The forced survey is also not appreciated.
