"Worst Customer service ever experienced"

Horrible Customer Service!! Or non existent service at all !! I booked a room though my IHG app, got to the hotel and clerk told me they were overbooked and I would have to get ahold of customer service. Chatted with customer service he said he tried to call hotel but there was no answer so I would have to call IHG customer service, called them waited 1.45 hours between hold and them trying to find another hotel only to be disconnected they never called back, called again another 45 minutes went by and was told they had cancelled my reservation and was on my own. Too add to all this the next morning I called customer service because 1) they were charging me a 159.00 cancelation fee. 2) I had no room for the second night of my stay. Asked to speak to a manager and after several tries got one that stated she found a hotel and would credit my account with points, asked her to change my reservation to make sure there was actually a room available before I drove further from my destination I was told her system did not allow it and then she either hung up or was disconnected but she never returned my call even though I had expressed the details of my frustration of being disconnected or sent back to the main calling que. Finally gave up!! Worst customer service ever! Beware your booked and paid for reservations through the company can be cancelled and they will leave you stranded with no help!
