Outdoors Inn

A little motel set back from the road, it doesn't look like much until you open your door. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The rooms have been thoughtfully redone. Everything is new and sparkling clean. The beds are super comfortable; the linens are European style - which to me means everything freshly laundered. Counter and shelf space, coffee and tea, lighting enough to read comfortably in bed. Each time I thought, "it would nice to have....", there it was. And the HVAC completely muffles outside noise. I look forward to my next stay.

This is a cute little boutique hotel. They have put a lot of work into making it very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean.

The TRAINS!!!!! No fault of the hotel staff but the hotel is right next to trains tracks and there are many trains at all hours of the day. The hotel did provide earplugs and a white noise machine. Earplugs helped tremendously.

We stayed in the jet tube room! The tub was huge and worked great! The room was super clean actually the entire property was very clean and well maintained! We will be back for sure! Also Miss Amy was so sweet and welcoming!

This hotel was perfect! Clean and nicely decorated. I would 100% stay here again next time I’m in the Sandpoint area. Easy check in. You can park right in front of your room. No stairs or elevators. Super convenient. Not your typical motel.

This is an adorable little motel. Obviously very recently renovated. Our room (112 I believe) had a ginormous jacuzzi tub fit for two. The rooms were very clean, and the coffee, tea and toiletries are well thought out. This is a motel so don't expect lots of amenities, but the continental breakfast offering was better than a lot of hotels I have stayed at. Lots of handy grab and go stuff. There isn't a place to eat except your room but given that the guests are most like heading out early to recreate, it was perfect. Plus, there is a little eating area/bar in the room. It is also within walking distance (right next door) to an awesome breakfast spot (The Owl Cafe). The staff is not on sight all of the time since it is family owned but our check in instructions were timely and clear. My only complaint was that the neighbors were kind of loud in the morning, but they were a family of Osprey nesting in the tree right behind our room, so I'll let that go.

A busy highway and railroad track is only steps from the front door. There are no restaurants or convenience stores anywhere near the motel. Communication is poor. Instead of a magnetic key, there is a code lock. When we made a mistake and needed to clear to start over, the manager had disappeared into her unit. I tried to contact her by phoning as directed by paper on the office door but was unable to hear the recording because of all the noise from the highway. She did reappear but I was concerned if we were to encounter other issues how I might get assistance. The room was small and basic with a wooden folding chair. The shower stall is quite small allowing a person to nearly turn around. Obviously the unit had been recently remodeled so it was pleasant in appearance.

Owners are amazing! And have done a great job woth the remodel. Dont let this roadside motel fool you, its perfect especially after those long days driving. BED WAS SO COMFORTABLE!! Only wish they had extra thick blankets available. Other then that, we will definitely be back!
