Hotel Effie Sandestin Resort, Autograph Collection

The Autograph Collection hotel was nestled in trees, the golf course and a nearby bayfront marina. The front desk staff aimed to please. We thoroughly enjoyed the build your own omelet and the corn beef hash. Our server, Josh, had personality plus and was truly a hard worker. My husband thought his spicy Bloody Mary was absolutely the best. Kudos to the person who made it! Highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I did a staycation here for just 1 night. I'll be honest, we didn't leave the room, so I have no input on bars, pools, etc., but the room was clean, A/C worked well, and the in-room dining was AMAZING! It was seriously the best meal we'd had in a long time. The smashburgers were sooooo good. The hummus plate was HUGE, amazing, and beautiful. The lemon cheesecake was really good, but possibly too tart for some people. My husband liked the Effie cookie. The fries were alright. They would have been better if there was a way to serve them hotter. Cons: The app wasn't working for check-out and we had to call. We could hear people in the hall, which is fine, but there should maybe be a fan or noise machine in the room for when people are trying to sleep because the room itself is very quiet. Also, the $25 self-parking... ugh. All this to say... it's expensive for a one-night thing. Stay at least 2 nights to enjoy the amenities, shopping, dining, resort, etc.

Love everything! Easy access to everything

During my stay at the beautiful Hotel Effie Sandestin, I had the pleasure of dining at Ovide for dinner and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. I chose the pre-fixe dinner, and every course was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The presentation was gorgeous, and the combination of textures and flavors truly elevated the experience. While the food was exceptional, the highlight of the evening was our server, Aubrey. From the moment she approached our table, her warmth and infectious energy set the tone for the night. She knew the menu inside and out, describing each entrée with such enthusiasm that it made choosing a dish both exciting and effortless. Her recommendations were spot-on, and it was clear she genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience. The steak I’ve included photos of was one of my favorites perfectly cooked, full of rich flavor, and so soft and delicious. Every bite reminded me why dining is about more than just eating; it’s about the whole experience the atmosphere, the service, and the feeling you’re left with when you leave the table. Aubrey and Ovide have mastered all three. Highly recommend for anyone staying at Hotel Effie or visiting the area and if you’re lucky enough to have Aubrey as your server, you’re in for a real treat! P.S. Be sure to get chocolate cake!

Overall, cozy room. Location and architecture were beautiful.

The room was small. I expected a bigger room for the expensive price. The drain in the bathroom sink was closed and no way of opening it. Room was freezing no matter how much I changed the temperature. Asked valet driver about self parking and he said “yes, we have it.” Ok, can you follow up with WHERE?! Instead he just stared at me. Front desk worker talked super fast and I almost couldn’t keep up. Room service was horrible. I called to order breakfast and the woman asked what I want and was so dull and unwelcoming. She seemed frustrated. I’m not paying for expensive breakfast for an attitude. They forgot my eggs and had the nerve to charge me $103 for stuff I didn’t order. I asked for 1 pancake, bacon, eggs, and French toast. I got breakfast potatoes, two trays of French toast, a stack of pancakes, and no eggs and 15% gratuity.

Tatiana was a excellent receptionist, she was very polite and well mannered. The rooms were clean and the ambiance was great.
